Knowledge Networks: London and the Ox-Cam Arc

A 400 sqm addition to the Kennedy Institute of Rheumatology at The University of Oxford to facilitate an expansion of translational medicine and data-science based research. The scheme provides additional dry lab space, meeting rooms, a collaboration area and an open-plan workspace for 64 more researchers. The project aims to deliver ambitious Passivhaus EnerPH it standards, including improved natural light distribution, minimised glare to the new workspaces and reduced need for artificial lighting improving the health and wellbeing of the occupants. Planning approval was granted in August 2019 and Beard Contracting was appointed in autumn 2019.
