Cobus Bothma has over 25 years’ experience in design within the construction and automotive industry, developing bespoke products for commercial, hospitality and leisure use. His key skills include the generation of complex architectural 3D geometry, data generation and visualisation. Since joining KPF in 2008, Cobus has been part of the Abu Dhabi International Airport team. Currently in London, Cobus is working on a masterplan in Bermondsey, providing the team with environmental analysis and unit optimisation. He is also providing environmental analysis for a student housing project near London Bridge and further along the river for Southbank Place he is using AR and VR for advanced visualization of design options and is generating computational scripts for building impact analysis on early studies of various projects in London. In addition to project work, Cobus oversees the firm wide applied research and development effort.
