Inboxes pinging, live chats streaming, social media and news notifications coming through, the mind of the modern-day desk-based worker is very different to that of their pre-smartphone and email predecessors. Digital technology has brought so much benefit to working lives, and has indeed been a hero during the Coronavirus pandemic, but when not well managed it can become a toxic cause of stress and impact our ability to do our best work, our sleep, relationships and our mental health.
Digital wellbeing and management expert, and Shine Offline co-founder, Laura Willis chaired this interactive session to discuss what we can all do to improve our digital habits to protect our performance at work, ability to rest and potential for collaboration in today's always on, remote working world. Laura shared tangible tools and tips for you to make to your digital behaviour as well as talk about collective change and what organisations can do to move towards having a healthier digital workplace culture.
Attendees then split into smaller groups in separate ‘zoom rooms’ to continue the discussion and share ideas (not included in video).
