Alex Denvir works in the Mayor of London’s Rough Sleeping team to deliver the Life off the Streets programme of London-wide services and initaitves that help people sleeping rough come off the streets and rebuild their lives. His work currently focuses on delivering longer-term, stable accommodation with associated services to help people get the support they need to begin living independently, and has worked closely with central Government, local authorities and charity partners to provide more than 1,000 homes for former Rough Sleepers since 2020.
Prior to joining the rough sleeping team at the GLA, Alex worked with politicians in the London Assembly and Parliament, leading on housing and planning policy research, including shaping the London Plan and publishing research on the impact of the Right to Buy in London.
