Bruce Glockling has more than 35 years senior management experience as a technical and education client working for the London Boroughs of Tower Hamlets, Wandsworth and Southwark. He has been responsible for the planning and design ofmany new schools in all three London councils. He was the BSF Project Director for Wandsworth Council, leading a transformational programme of development, including the 2015 Stirling Prize Winning Burntwood School. More recently he also led the primary school expansion programme for new schools in Southwark and was the Head of Regeneration, covering all sectors of development including new homes and leisure.
Bruce has extensive experience of planning, briefing, construction and design across all sectors. He is keen to promote good design and recently led the creation of a new Southwark/LHC Architects framework helping to change the approach to procurement and the representation of communities in design teams. As a volunteer, Bruce is also a secondary school governor, vice chair of teaching and learning, so keeps up date on all education matters.
