Christopher is Hackney Council’s Cabinet Member for Health, Adult Social Care, the Voluntary Sector and Culture. He has previously served on the licensing and planning committees and was Chair of the Children and Young People’s Scrutiny Commission for two years before joining the Council’s cabinet in 2018.
Christopher has been a Hackney resident since 1995 and councillor for Hackney Wick ward since 2002. During that time he has advocated on behalf of local residents, organisations and businesses throughout the transformation created by the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, and supported the Council’s commitments to ensuring that the local community is first to benefit from the London 2012 legacy.
