Cllr Situ is Southwark Council’s cabinet member for Growth, Development and Planning.
He leads on sustainable regeneration, planning policy consultation and engagement with communities and strategic transport. He is responsible for leading the council’s regeneration programmes across the borough, including Old Kent Road which aims to deliver 20,000 new homes and 10,000 new jobs, alongside the extension of the Bakerloo line. Cllr Situ was elected as a Councillor in Peckham ward in May 2014 and previously served as cabinet member for Business and Social Regeneration with responsibility for promoting business growth and employment across Southwark. Prior to joining the cabinet he worked for an international development charity.
