Paola has been working for Glasgow City Council since 2005, leading urban and economic regeneration projects, with a particular focus on sustainable communities, connectivity and active travel solutions, well-being and quality of life, resilience and mitigation, the low carbon transition and circular economy. Her interest has evolved from architecture to new areas of service design, inclusive growth and digital transformation. Paola possesses a strong background in community/evidence based urban strategies to support the development of innovative cross sectors solutions. Her academic research focuses on the relationship between urban form and quality of life, with a particular interest in health data analysis in relation to the built environment and social outcomes.
