Grace Nelson is a Town Centre Manager and has been working in the economic development environment at Brent Council since 2014. Grace leads on a number of regeneration and economic development initiatives and is tasked with ensuring the vitality of a number of Brent’s priority town centres. Her breadth of experience is reflected in her ability to deliver placemaking projects in town centres with varying complex issues as well as bringing together multi-level stakeholder groups together for a common purpose and vision. She is driven by creating environments that respond to the people that use them and this forms part of the high street recovery strategies she is developing for each centre.
Grace also has an extensive commercial marketing, business development and stakeholder relationship management experience. Prior to working at Brent Council, Grace previously worked in a Business Improvement District (BID) environment leading on various large scale placemaking and marketing initiatives as well as supporting a large cohort of small, medium and large enterprises.
Grace is currently on the Board of Mentors for the Future of London Emerging Talent Programme.
