James Adams is the founder of Maconda Solutions, a London based circular economy consultancy. James has worked in construction and reuse over the last decade. He led the UK’s first Material Passport pilot on the One Nine Elms scheme in partnership with global builder Multiplex.
James is a specialist in the use of Material Passports as well as the practices and processes needed to implement circular economy across the built environment. He has a particular focus on law and policy and works closely with academia to advance research. He is a regular contributor to industry bodies and is a founding member of the ROMULUS initiative.
James is also active within the European Union, and was involved in a case study by the national French social housing association (Union Social pour l'Habitat) on a reuse and recovery within housing sector in 2023.
