Founding Director and consultant for Tibbalds Planning & Urban Design. A planner with almost 30 years of planning and urban design consultancy experience working on and directing projects for private sector clients, local authorities and various government agencies in predominantly London and the South East.
Her focus is upon design and making great places happen. In terms of commissions she has developed spatial masterplans and development frameworks for local authority and private/public partnerships including the spatial framework that helped shape and inform the regeneration of Elephant and Castle, City Road Basin Materplan, Bromley by Bow masterplan and delivery strategy and Area Action Plans for Ilford and Ealing. She has also delivered a number of significant planning permissions for clients including Derwent ( the White Collar Factory and Wedge House); Sellar (the regeneration of the Decathlon sites in Canada Water); Igloo Regeneration (Brentford Lock West); a number of mixed workspace projects for clients including Second Home, Workspace and the Office Group and major estate renewal projects in Hackney, Enfield, Camden, Merton and Southwark.
Her VeloCity collaboration with five other industry experts won the NIC, Oxford to Cambridge ideas competition, William Sutton Prize for Excellence in Social Housing Design and Placemaking for Clarion Housing and a RIBA research grant and she is now working with a number of the Great Estates, including Blenheim on turning the idea into a reality.
She also set up the pedElle, a road cycling event which is aimed at encouraging women in the property industry to get on a bicycle and is a Trustee for Club Peloton and Chair of Board of Trustees of the Useful Simple Trust.
