With over 22 years construction industry experience, Joanne has worked in a broad range of sectors including Local Authority, Commercial, Residential, Education and Healthcare.14 years of Joanne’s career has been spent supporting or working directly for the NHS – both Acute and Primary Care.

Joanne has a deep understanding of the challenges faced by Estates and Facilities leads and recognises that for best-in-class solutions, we must be open to innovation, learning fromthe past and work collaboratively across organisational landscapes.She is a highly respected Health and care advisor and brings first-hand experience includingmanagement, modelling and advisory of Trust Capital Programmes of £30 - £80million per annum, future year Capital pipeline planning, extensive Capital Business Case experience (Five Case Model), Board and Regulator reporting, Estates Strategies, Investment Frameworks, Estates and Facilities Procedure and Process Management, Digital Strategies and roadmaps and stakeholder management.

Joanne has a passion for Digital advancement and Smart buildings/ Smart data management, and she authored the article ‘How do we get the NHS from no CAFM to BIM?’ Joanne is also a Subject Matter Expert as part of an Ecosystem of providers that have come together to provide Smart building data solutions for the NHS from advisory and business case support to longer term interoperable software solution mapping. The ethos of the ecosystem is ‘If you cannot measure it, you cannot improve it’ (Lord Kelvin). The Ecosystem commits to provide solutions that are interoperable and speak to one another, to ensure that the client owns the data that they hold and create and to enable the NHS to meet NZC targets by fully understanding their buildings and how their operational activities impact their carbon footprint.
