Mariana Schiller is an urban planner with a background in housing, research and community engagement with experiences in the private and public sectors. She is currently a Senior Housing Policy Officer at the GLA, where she leads the work on social housing standards, specialist and supported housing and homelessness. Prior to the GLA, she managed Tower Hamlets’ community-led housing programme. She was also part of Public Practice’s third cohort, a programme that places built environment experts in local authorities. During her placement, she delivered a context-led design guidance for housing developments on small sites.

 

Her research on London’s housing crisis was published by the International Journal of Housing Policy.
