Sarah Castle is an architect and co-founding director of IF_DO, an award-winning architecture practice based in London and Manchester. Since 2014, Sarah, alongside her partners Al Scott and Thomas Bryans, has guided IF_DO to notable recognition, being shortlisted for BD Young Architect of the Year 2021 and listed in Architects’ Journal 40 under 40 in 2020. Sarah advocates for spaces that are welcoming and accessible to all and is an expert in social infrastructure projects, including leading the Brent Cross South primary substation project with artist Lakwena, which won a national Civic Trust Award in 2024. Sarah is also a founding member of Part W, a campaign group advocating for gender equity in design. Their 2023 project Women's Work London, which shone a light on the work of women in the city, won the inaugural the W Awards inaugural Prize for Research in Gender and Architecture.
