Zach is an Associate Director economist in Arup’s City Economics team specialising in economic development strategy. He is a full member of the Institute for Economic Development (IED), a certified Better Business Cases Practitioner, and has extensive experience in economic development strategy in the UK and abroad. Zach works closely with combined authorities, local government and BIDs on multidisciplinary projects. He collaborates with economics, policy, and design teams to build strategies that reflect the multi-faceted challenges of place. He won in the IED Innovation Award in 2019 for his integrated approach to economic and placemaking strategy. Over the past two years, Zach led a multi-disciplinary team providing technical and capability support to 101 towns across England in support of the Towns Fund.
