NextGen: The Politics of the Built Environment

Talk

Tuesday 18 July 2023
18:30 - 20:30

How is London shaped by politics and how does this impact the built environment industry?
The Built Environment is often dominated by politics at a local, national and regional level – for better and for worse.

In this evening event, designed for the next generation of built environment professionals, LCA explores how London has been shaped by political concerns, and the impact this has on the future of London.

How does changing politics and policies impact design, planning and development and what are the factors at play? How does the local election cycle shape projects and how will the mayoral elections next year affect planning? How does all this change, and the press it attracts, influence your client and therefore change the design of buildings?

Join us for this evening talk that will provide a broader understanding of politics and planning and how this impacts your projects.
