Join NLA and Jestico + Whiles for a Study Tour of Greenwich Millennium Village.

Join us for a tour of the final phase of Greenwich Millennium Village, designed by Jestico + Whiles in partnership with Peter Barber Architects and Studio 54 Architecture. The culmination of a 25-year master plan begun by Ralph Erskine, the site provides 1,746 new homes arranged around streets and squares, recalling Erskine’s playful evolutionary tradition of the local architectural language.

 

Located at the southeast of London’s Greenwich Peninsula, the site is nestled between the rumble of historic industrial wharfs and a swarm of cranes adorning new high-rise developments. The team developed designs true to the spirit and intentions of Erskine’s vision, but with a different innovative twist in every plot; the resulting spaces are recognisable, unique and filled with variety. The designs are the result of a collaborative discussion about the ways in which people live and inhabit the city, as well as how these continued to change and evolve.
