Join this study tour of Bromley By Bow Gasworks to learn about St William and RSHP’s plans to regenerate this 23-acre site.
Due to high demand for this tour, we have opened a new time slot of 09:00–10:15am. The tour starting at 08:30 is now sold out.
The tour will cover the site’s heritage, the collaboration between project partners and the steps taken to overcome complex challenges, showcasing this major 2,100 home redevelopment project. Guests will have the opportunity to get up close to the gasholders, learn about the industrial history and meet the team to hear more about the future of the site.
In June 2024 the plans received the backing of LB Newham’s committee which follows three years of design work and engaging with the local community. The site will link into the nearby East London Cultural Corridor, and the major urban interchange at Stratford.
Guests will be able to see plans for the 1.7ha park which will front onto the river and be fully accessible to the local community once complete.
The collaboration between RSHP and St William follows on from ongoing work at Regent’s View on The Canal in Bethnal Green which also unlocks a disused gasholder site for public benefit.
This tour will require PPE, please select whether you will bring your own PPE boots or if you require these to be provided (including show size) in the booking form.
Please note the capacity for this event is very limited and therefore tickets will be allocated on a first come first served basis, with a maximum of 1 per organisation.
