CHYBIK + KRISTOF is an architecture and urban design practice founded in 2010 by Ondrej Chybik (*1985) and Michal Kristof (*1986) operating with 60+ international team members from offices in London, Prague, Brno, and Bratislava. It is a dynamic collective of architects who specialise in creating a dialogue between the old and the new through contemporary solutions. At the heart of their approach is the art of adaptive reuse and architectural transformation, where existing structures are not only preserved but also given new life and purpose. Finding the value and crafting character of the buildings is an approach that CHK believes is crucial in terms of climate responsibility. The studio advocates for a new wave of European architects. Leading and guiding discussions on retrofitting, architectural generational shifts, and urban activation, CHYBIK + KRISTOF are redefining the future of architectural practice. 

Recent works include Mendel's Greenhouse in Brno, the Modular Research Center in Vizovice, the Multipurpose Arena in Jihlava, the Multifunctional Tower in Tirana and other projects in Austria, Germany, and Slovenia. 

The studio has been awarded a number of prizes, including the Architectural Record's Design Vanguard 2019, and was one of the winners of the European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies' 40 under 40 Award 2019.
