Burgess Park Sports Pavilion

Under Construction

Burgess Park Sports Pavilion is part of a wider masterplan by the Council to improve the usability of park amenities, while creating a distinctive identity.

Burgess Park Sports Pavilion is a key component of Southwark Council's masterplan to enrich the park's existing sports amenities and establish a distinctive identity. The pavilion hosts a new club room, changing facilities, public amenities, and offices for park staff. With perforated copper cladding and a concrete plinth that extends pitch-side, the pavilion seamlessly integrates into the park landscape and creates an informal seating area.

This project is featured alongside our Public London: Activating the City insight study. The publication, exhibition and online project directory explore what constitutes a successful and democratic public realm today, the role of co‑creation and partnerships, and how we can ensure that places are fit‑for‑purpose in the long term.
