Dagenham Green

Planning Granted

Dagenham Green transforms the former Ford Stamping Works site into a sustainable mixed-use neighbourhood that meets residents needs for a healthier lifestyle within a 15min walk.

Transforming the former Ford Stamping Works site into a sustainable mixed-use neighbourhood to meet residents needs for a healthier lifestyle within a 15min walk. The masterplan places landscape at the heart of the development, creating over 10 acres of public realm celebrating the rich local cultural heritage and bringing nature back to the post-industrial site. A new 5-acre Park will provide a 'natural meeting point' for the wider community where people of all ages will reconnect with nature.

This project is featured alongside our Public London: Activating the City insight study. The publication, exhibition and online project directory explore what constitutes a successful and democratic public realm today, the role of co‑creation and partnerships, and how we can ensure that places are fit‑for‑purpose in the long term.
