Leeds Dock

Built

Leeds Dock is a transformational public realm masterplan of a prime dockside site in the West Yorkshire city that has created a new cultural destination.

Leeds Dock is a transformational public realm masterplan of a prime dockside site in the West Yorkshire city that has created a new cultural destination.

The design rejuvenated a formerly failing site into a vibrant and thriving city centre village and features numerous low-cost initiatives, including new retail areas, signage and wayfinding, contemporary work and art spaces, street food hubs, new transportation and a range of bold urban realm interventions.
Leeds Dock now hosts one of the UK’s major build sector conferences, UKREiiF.

This project is featured alongside our Public London: Activating the City insight study. The publication, exhibition and online project directory explore what constitutes a successful and democratic public realm today, the role of co‑creation and partnerships, and how we can ensure that places are fit‑for‑purpose in the long term.
