Shortlisted in the HOUSING category
Old Ford Road is an innovative response to a challenging set of constraints. The completed scheme provides a compelling example for how urban edge sites can be dramatically reused for housing. Our sympathetic design on such a prominent and challenging site creates eight new dwellings which aim to positively contribute to the surrounding community and encourage biodiversity through the continuation of the green corridor along the water’s edge. This is an approach that maximises the qualitative and commercial values of the properties whilst also delivering ecological value for the context.
