Tànger 66

Built

Rather than reaching for the wrecking ball, our vision at Tànger 66 was to make the most of the existing structure and celebrate its industrial heritage.

The 22@ district of Barcelona is one of Europe’s most ambitious urban regeneration schemes. Although the area has seen many new–builds in recent years, we immediately saw the potential for a distinctive, high–quality office space through refurbishment rather than rebuilding.

Our brief was to reposition the building as a contemporary office space that could attract a major tenant befitting of the 22@ district. We set about unlocking the building to reposition and repurpose the original building.

Redeveloped with an ethos of reuse rather than rebuild, Tànger 66 is the first building in Barcelona to achieve a LEED Platinum rating.
