This webinar brought together experts to the discuss the repercussions of the draft Building Safety Bill, published in July 2020, and what built environment professionals need to know to adapt to new practice standards.

In the wake of the Grenfell Fire, Dame Judith Hackitt published in 2018 the ‘Building a Safer Future’ review of the fire safety report, making recommendations on the future regulatory system. On July 2020, the government published the draft ‘Building Safety Bill’ which could drive the most transformative and fundamental advancement of building safety regulations over decades.

Under new legislation being introduced in the draft Building Safety Bill, the roles and responsibilities as well as the technical competency of those involved in the construction and management of buildings will be transformed.
