Alison Brooks founded Alison Brooks Architects in London in 1996. Her work in urban design, housing, the arts and higher education is known for its conceptual rigour, sculptural form, contextual specificity and ingenious detailing. Her award-winning housing designs feature in the Phaidon Atlas of Contemporary Architecture, with Ely Court a finalist for the 2017 Mies van der Rohe Award. Her recently completed Cohen Quadrangle is Oxford's first College Quadrangle designed by a female architect. Alison is External Examiner at the AA, the Bartlett UCL and is a Trustee of Open City. She lectures on architecture internationally.
