Andrew is a Partner with 15 years of experience leading multi-disciplinary projects in the UK and internationally.

Andrew is responsible for leading the portfolio of Buro Happold's UK culture sector projects. As a partner, he is also one of the UK Executive team responsible for the operations and strategy of the UK Buildings group.

A structural engineer by trade, Andrew specialises in complex new build and refurbishment projects. He has experience in multi-disciplinary design on various complex new build and refurbishment projects with experience in museums and performance venues. He possesses extensive experience in timber design and engineering, designing some of the first buildings in the UK to use Cross Laminated Timber.

Andrew has completed a Master’s degree in Inter-Disciplinary Design for the Built Environment at the University of Cambridge and is a Chartered Engineer. Andrew is also a member of the Association of British Theatre Technicians (ABTT).

He lead the Buro Happold team who in collaboration with Renew Culture have written the award-winning Theatre Green Book. Following on from the success of the Theatre Green book, which is now published in six languages, The Arts Green Book has been published under Andrew’s leadership for the ACE and GLA.
