Karen started her career in the housing directorate of the Department of the Environment. She has over 20 years’ experience working for a number of London local authorities delivering innovative regeneration and place shaping programmes. In her current role she is responsible for economic development in Camden. This involves ensuring the Council takes a strategic approach to Camden’s business sectors making sure opportunities for growth are maximised and that strategically important sectors are supported using the Council’s levers as a planning authority and working in partnership with the business community.
