Lou is an urban designer and researcher. She has extensive expertise on participatory practices, systems design, GIS analysis, and regenerative ecologies. Since joining Publica in 2023, she has worked on both private and public sector projects, which included leading the delivery of NWEC's community engagement and working on major public realm regeneration schemes such as Marble Arch.
Lou is also a managing trustee at Sol y Verde, a rural Guatemalan non-profit working with women and children from indigenous and migrant backgrounds, and a visiting lecturer at Central St Martins and Cambridge University.
She holds an MPhil in Architecture and Urban Design from Cambridge University. Her work on placemaking, climate resilience and forced displacement has received multiple research funding and awards, including funding from the Wren Association and RIBA
