Louise Wilson is a co-founder and joint MD of Abundance which provides debt capital to infrastructure projects for different stages of their development, and regular capital and income to investors. As the climate emergency becomes of increasing concern, Abundance exists to accelerate Net Zero by letting people, both local and national, invest directly in specific projects that are working to address the problem from as little as £5. Abundance has launched fund-raisings for 45 opportunities and raised over £100m, and was the first crowdfunding platform to offer both an ISA and a pension (SIPP) product.
Most of Abundance’s projects have been in the renewable energy and circular economy with now funding for the construction of around 100 affordable and supported living homes in Liverpool, that increasingly include green measures. Abundance has now launched 2 local authority-issued bonds designed to support councils in their climate emergency and Net Zero plans.
Before Abundance, Louise was Head of Equity Capital Markets at UBS Investment Bank. Louise is on the Advisory Board of Imperial College’s Centre for Climate Finance & Investment. She has a Bachelor of Laws with Honours from the University of Edinburgh.
