Marta is an AKT II design director, and leads the firm’s carbon initiatives, including ensuring that all AKT II projects meet both the practice’s in-house standards and the UK government’s guidelines for net-zero. Marta has recently overseen the development of AKT II’s new design tool ‘Carbon.AKT’, which applies generative parametric modelling to allow clients and architects to calculate and optimise a scheme’s embodied carbon from just the most basic massing information onwards.
