Join the NLA, the London School of Economics (LSE), Grafton Architects, and AKT II, for a study tour of the LSE’s new Marshall Building.
The Marshall Building – designed by Grafton Architects – is a multifunctional academic facility that’s now been delivered at the university’s existing urban campus. The project occupies a pivotal position at the southern corner of London’s Lincoln’s Inn Fields area and embeds the LSE’s presence next to one of the city’s most iconic garden squares.
Explore the mixed-use, eight-storey building on tree-like columns that at approximately 18,000m2, includes sports facilities, lecture theatres, offices and a two-storey rooftop pavilion.
You’ll hear from Julian Robinson, Director of Estates at the LSE, Grafton Architects, and from AKT II’s design director Marta Galiñanes-García. Together, they’ll be walking through the design of the building, and sharing how the scheme’s programmatic challenges have been turned into design opportunities!
Please note this is an in-person event and will take place on-site at The Marshall Building. Capacity for this event is 30 and tickets will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
