Sean provides deep expertise in the areas of sustainability, decarbonisation, resilience, climate change and circular systems. Has worked with some of the world’s most demanding clients bringing systems innovation skills to address the climate crisis. Sean’s international career spans 25 years living and working in Nairobi Kenya, Accra Ghana, Lima Peru, Auckland New Zealand, London and Milan.
Prior to joining Arup, Sean was a co-founding Director of the Healthy Clean Cities (HCC) programme at
EIT Climate-KIC the EU’s largest innovation agency looking at solving the climate crisis through systems innovation. This programme is now activating 100+ cities in Europe as part of the ‘Green Deal’ to bring about a radical innovation in: citizen activation, procurement, policy and regulation, education, production and supply chains, circularity, finance, business models and governance. Prior to this he spent 15 years at Atkins, where he was head of sustainability. He is a Fellow of the
Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
