Daniel joined Glenn Howells Architect’s Birmingham office in 2005 and has led a variety of high-profile and award-winning residential, mixed-use, commercial, and masterplanning projects. Most recently he has led the London City Island project, working closely with developer Ballymore to develop a completely new island neighbourhood of over 1,700 new homes in East London, a new home for the English National Ballet and the London Film School.
Key previous project experience includes Royal Wharf, a new model for future urban regeneration alongside the River Thames; The Triangle, a multi award-winning sustainable community for Kevin McCloud’s Haboakus; Wembley Link, the revitalisation of an overgrown and ill-maintained 0.63-hectare area of railway embankment into 256 much needed homes for private rent; and a HQ for Severn Trent, a high quality, low-energy office facility that was designed specifically to push the boundaries of sustainable design in commercial buildings.
Dan has represented GHA at numerous events for organisations including the Brick Development Association, the Welsh School of Architecture, Coventry University and New London Architecture. Dan is a Part III Examiner at the Birmingham School of Architecture and Design at Birmingham City University.
