Angela is the Director spearheading JRA’s interiors department, having joined the practice in 2011. With over 15 years of experience, she specializes in workplace consultancy and fit-out of interiors for a range of educational and commercial occupiers. Her portfolio includes both new-build and the renovation of historic buildings and she has experience of practice in the UK and United States. Angela is adept at visually communicating brands and translating client’s ideas into bespoke spaces, designed for functionality and longevity. She is LEED accredited with the United States Green Building Council.

 

Angela is our co-working specialist designing with Wework Spitalfields in 2016. Since then, she has also worked on Mindspace Norrsken and x+why. Most recently, Angela was the Associate Director for X+Why’s fifth expansion site in Manchester. Having worked with various co-working operators, she has the experience of working to tight programmes, high occupancies and delivering unique interiors that give each of these brands their unique selling point. Building on the success of this circular economy project in x+why’s in Birmingham, she is currently working on the 60,000 sf expansion for Lloyds Banking group in the Foundry Building.

 

Leading the briefing workshops, she has been interviewing various teams as they transition into future ways of working and help them reutilize their workspace. Angela has also led on a number of high profile interior fit-out projects including the design of Helix, Skanska and YUM! Brands’ UK headquarters. Angela has worked very closely with artists, curators and interior designers, collaborating on mood boards and material palettes to create more of a boutique look and feel.
