NLA is London's built environment community; an independent, purpose-led organisation for everyone with an interest in London’s built environment. NLA’s programme and its family of brands and projects engages the broadest possible audience across government, business and the public to educate, challenge, connect and create positive change.
From public realm to workspaces to London’s homes and more, NLA’s broad range of projects, research and events connects London’s network of professionals and enthusiasts, uniting the industry to shape a better city.
Our vision for London is set out in
The New London Charter, a declaration of the values that drive NLA’s policies and programme.
NLA’s research themes can be found
here, through these we examine the key opportunities and challenges facing London. We produce research, exhibitions, events and publications year-round, to share knowledge and debate these themes. As an independent member-supported organisation, our audience brings together the public, government, and cross-sector professionals both in London and internationally.
We have a public gallery in Central London featuring a large scale interactive models of the capital. Visit the
London Centre (opening April 2023) to find our latest exhibitions, preview the future shape of the capital, and attend one of our regular talks or conferences. We also regularly host events around London.
