Beth Nash is the Security and Operations Manager for Fleet Street Quarter BID, a central City Business Improvement District which administers an extensive programme of work focusing on inclusion, diversity, innovation, the celebration of culture and the drive to deliver a green, sustainable and safe business district.

 

Responsible for overseeing various City based security initiatives, Beth works strategically with partners such as City of London Police, local authorities, key stakeholders and security companies to implement various public safety and crime prevention initiatives.

 

Beth works in close partnership with City of London Police to deliver various ‘Walk and Talk’ initiatives to local Fleet St residents, workers and visitors. The scheme, which pairs a participant with a member of City Police, shines a light on areas within the City which some find unsafe, directly addressing public safety concerns on lighting, access ways and Police presence. Focusing on the matter of vulnerability, Beth is the project lead for the implementation of Safe Havens in the City of London, recently launching the prestigious Guildhall as a cornerstone Haven for those most vulnerable who may need to access a place of temporary refuge. 

 

With 4 years of hands-on experience in the dynamic security industry, Beth has honed her skills in community safety projects, women’s safety initiatives and intelligence sharing. Most notably, she has launched a national online e-learning product in Welfare and Vulnerability, alongside the UK’s regulator in the private security industry, the SIA. Passionate both professionally and in her private life, Beth works alongside key partners to help tackle Violence Against Women and Girls – this e-learning product directly upskills staff in public facing roles on how to identify vulnerability and make positive interventions safely.
