Having studied Architecture at the Royal Danish Academy of Arts in Denmark and at McGill University in Canada, Camilla joined the urban quality consultancy Gehl in Copenhagen and New York where she managed placemaking projects and led the development the Open Public Life Data Protocol. While in Copenhagen, Camilla also taught Strategies for Urban Liveability at DIS. Camilla moved to London in 2018 to work as a lead designer in Arup Digital Studio, a multi-disciplinary strategic and UX design team, before joining Hassell at the beginning of 2021, where she worked as Practice Lead for Landscape Architecture until 2024. She is the founder of Occasio Insights, an architecture & design consultancy.
Through her experiences of working with cities and technology companies worldwide, she has developed new ideas, concepts, and solutions for how to use research and digital technology to design more innovative, sustainable, and human-centred places. She has been awarded as an NYU Emerging Leader in Transportation and a Future Stars of Tech nominee.
