Claire has been a partner at Haverstock since 2006, leading numerous successful projects in a range of sectors, particularly Education. Claire is committed to inclusive design for disabled children, ensuring every project fosters positive engagement and inclusion for all children.
With her extensive experience across a range of educational facilities, Claire has led the design of children’s centres, primary and secondary schools, sixth forms, pupil referral units, alternative provisions and specialist SEND schools. Claire led the design of Linden Farm, a supported living development for young adults with autism and high support needs, receiving the RIBA South East Project Architect of the Year award and the Civic Trust Selwyn Goldsmith Award for universal design.
Alongside her role at Haverstock, Claire is a technical advisor the Department for Education, gaining an in-depth understanding of the latest design specifications. Under her leadership, Haverstock’s pioneers sustainability initiatives in educational design, leading two of the first schools under the DfE’s Sustainability Pilot Scheme, aimed at achieving the government’s net zero greenhouse gas emissions target by 2050.
