Clare is a Chartered Mechanical Engineer and an Engineering Director at BDP  since 2003. In recent years, Clare has specialised in projects combining new build and retained/refurbishment elements, generally on constrained inner city sites.

 

Clare is personally responsible for ensuring coordination across the engineering disciplines and her strong integrated approach to design and the use of innovative and passive engineering solutions has enabled her to deliver passive and low energy buildings within very tight budget constraints. She is also experienced in developing appropriate low carbon technologies and in preparing Energy Statements and lead within BDP’s BIM Strategy Group for the Environmental Design Studio.

 

Clare regularly hosts WIBSE (Women in the Built Environment) events which supports and develops women in the design and construction industry. The events are open to women and men, and include development workshops and role model presentations
