Cllr Govindia has led Wandsworth Council since May 2011.
He is co-chair of the Nine Elms Vauxhall Partnership and played a key role in securing the Northern Line extension to Nine Elms. He is a member of the Government’s national panel of experts on estate regeneration; and in 2012 launched London’s most ambitious housing estate regeneration programme to deliver around 3,000 new homes.
