Elyse is an associate at Grimshaw and has been with the practice since 2006. She is an accredited Conservation Architect: her love of conservation stemmed from her work on Grimshaw’s refurbishment of the Herman Miller Factory in Bath into the university’s School of Art and Design, which led her to her pursuing a Masters in Building History at the University of Cambridge. During this time, she worked for Historic England as a Heritage at Risk Projects Officer giving her valuable experience of working with the most vulnerable listed buildings in London.
She is a champion for conservation and reuse and supports the office with her heritage experience across the transport, education and leisure sectors and is currently working on HS2 Euston Station. In 2019 she was one of the Architects’ Journal’s 40 under 40.
