Gioele Nunziatini
Gioele's strengths include technical ability, resolving complex structural challenges and concept design. He leads a variety of projects, overseeing project management, resources, finances, logistics and documents as well as developing optimum engineering solutions.
Gio prefers tackling intricate, multifaceted or challenging assignments, and creating unique bespoke solutions tailored to the client’s brief. He transforms concept designs into practical proposals, optimising structural performance to inform the architectural character of each project within scheme and cost constraints.
His strong grounding in technically complex projects includes concrete, steel and composite large-scale structures in the commercial, residential, mixed-use and heritage sectors. He has extensive experience in analysing building dynamics, vibrations, tuned mass dampers, time-dependent effects on buildings and the overall construction process. Added to which is a thorough knowledge of Eurocodes, UK and US codes, as well as US work experience.
In April 2023, he became a chartered member of the Institution of Structural Engineers.
His notable projects include Canada Dock Boardwalk — a 170m long steel bridge structure designed to accommodate difficult ground conditions and limit vibrations, while mitigating dynamic and thermal loading behaviour. Plus listed building refurbishment of Mountbatten House (originally designed by Arup), multi-use developments in Greenwich Design District and build-to-let units at The Wiltern.
