Hugo joined Haworth Tompkins in 2017 and has since led on several of the studio’s masterplanning, industrial and residential projects. He has over 20 years’ experience delivering large, design-led construction projects for complex client bodies, on challenging urban sites.
Over the last five years Hugo has focused on the practice’s growing industrial portfolio and has been responsible for the delivery of Industria Barking, as well as Haworth Tompkin’s regeneration masterplan for Albert Island, a 100,000sqm industrial-led brownfield development in London Docklands, for London & Regional in collaboration with the GLA.
Hugo sits on the NLA experts panel for ‘Logistics and Industrial’ and has developed a deep working knowledge of urban industrial design at both macro and micro level, combined with an understanding of the market and development economics in the sector, and its complex policy requirements.
