Julia is a Sustainability Associate at BDP, where she leads the net zero carbon workstream and provides strategic direction on low‑carbon, high‑performance design across major projects. With ten years of experience in architecture, engineering and building performance, she brings a rigorous, evidence‑led approach to sustainable design. Her technical expertise spans whole‑life carbon analysis, energy modelling, sustainable retrofit and environmental design. Julia has played lead roles on complex projects across multiple sectors, including serving as Net Zero Carbon Coordinator and Carbon Manager.
Alongside her project work, Julia is deeply involved in research and innovation. Through BDP Lab and the Future Workflows Group, BDP’s internal research arm, she has helped advance the practice’s in‑house carbon calculation tools and methodologies. She also contributes to industry publications, including work with the UKGBC, and shares her knowledge through guest teaching at universities.
