Mark is a landscape architect and urban designer and leads the AECOM masterplanning team in London. He has over 20 years’ experience working across a wide range of projects for both public and private sector clients. While much of his focus has been on residential-led, mixed use schemes at scale, particularly in relation to new communities and urban extension projects, he has also helped expand and develop AECOM’s industrial masterplanning activities. His team is very active in London, with colleagues working on some of the most significant commissions in the city including Old Oak Common, Thamesmead and Charlton Riverside, where Mark led on the preparation of the masterplan and SPD. Mark’s professional background is quite eclectic, beginning with Groundwork in London followed by a mix of landscape and multi-disciplinary practices, often with an engineering bent. This wider constituency - working with a range of people able to input into the conversations concerning how we plan, build and manage our towns and cities - is fundamental to longer-term success and central to Mark’s philosophy.
