Paul East joined JMP as an Associate in 2017 to head up our Edinburgh studio. During his career he has designed, developed and completed a wide range of projects across all sectors, including cultural, education, retail, residential, commercial and health ranging from £20K to £450 million. He has particular expertise in the heritage, cultural and museum sectors.
Paul recently completed Lancaster University’s Innovation Hub and is currently working on the practice’s refurbishment of the Burrell Renaissance in Glasgow and the National Galleries of Scotland’s new Collection Facility in Edinburgh. Previous experience includes the transformation of the Al Salam Palace in Kuwait into the country’s National Museum and the Richard III Visitor Centre in Leicester. Paul is currently researching best practice and innovative ways we can deliver aged-care in the future and what needs to happen to better support the elderly and provide affordable, accessible, adaptable and stable solutions.
