Raffaella is a dynamic Project Director with 20 years’ experience in practice, specialising in overseeing the design, delivery, and management of large, complex, and high-profile multidisciplinary rail and infrastructure projects. Her primary focus is designing and delivering elegant, durable and sustainable solutions that enhance the passenger experience and benefit communities by improving accessibility, safety and sustainability while minimising costs related to construction, operation and maintenance.
 
Raffaella has a track record of leading some of the most prestigious recent rail projects in the UK for clients such as TfL, LUL, Network Rail, and HS2, including the Paddington Elizabeth Line Station, a £500 million construction project with multiple stakeholders, inaugurated by Her Majesty the Queen in May 2022.
 
As the Head of Rail, Raffaella plays a key role, bringing together her design, management, and technical expertise with high-level strategic thinking to identify new opportunities in the UK and Europe.
 
Raffaella was recognised as a RIBA Inspirational Woman in 2019 and was shortlisted in the European Women in Construction & Engineering Awards in 2016 and 2018. Her team was also nominated for the Transport for London 2017 Collaboration Award. In her WICE Award nomination, she was described as "a strong leader with good management skills and exceptional interpersonal skills.
