NYLON #17 The future of retail in New York and London

Talk

Wednesday 27 May 2020
14:00 - 15:30

Live webinar taking place simultaneously in both New York and London.
With both cities slowly reopening from the lockdown, retail faces an unprecedented era of flux. From world-leading shopping street destinations, to neighbourhood high streets, markets, town centres and meanwhile spaces, London and New York’s retail landscape is facing an accelerated change due to Covid-19.

How can the built environment sector generate a resilient retail landscape post-Covid-19 in London and New York? What does the future hold for the high street? Will the Post-Covid-19 scenario bring the emergence of new businesses and mixed-use spaces?

London and New York will come together around these pressing questions, sharing examples and discussing current challenges.

The live webinar will take place simultaneously in both cities and begin promptly at 09:00 in New York and 14:00 in London. This event forms a key part of the NLA City Dialogues programme, which brings together speakers and audiences to foster cross-city dialogue and learning between cities.
