This is a invitation only round table bringing together senior built environment leaders with expertise from across UK and Europe to examine how these markets compare.
London is one of Europe’s largest single-city data centre market, while the wider continental landscape is led by Frankfurt, Dublin, Paris and Amsterdam. As AI adoption and cloud expansion accelerate demand in the capital, the need for greater capacity — delivered faster, more efficiently and more sustainably — has never been more pressing.
Yet London faces significant constraints. Power availability, planning complexity, sustainability requirements and skills shortages present material challenges to the sector’s continued growth. Across Europe, other leading markets are grappling with similar pressures — and in many cases pioneering new approaches in energy strategy, delivery models, regulation and long-term resilience.
This round table brings together senior built environment leaders with expertise from across UK and Europe to examine how these markets compare: where challenges align, where responses differ, and what practical lessons can be transferred. Through open discussion, the session will explore how European experience can inform local decision-making — strengthening London’s capacity to meet current demand while positioning the capital for the next phase of AI-driven growth.
Please note this is an invitation only event for NLA members, the guest list for this has already been confirmed however if you are interested in hearing more or finding out about our round table programme please reach out to your NLA account manager.
